A question about tubes

@sequences thanks for the info. There’s a lot for me to digest there.
What i can say right now is that i don’t think i play when the tubes are cold. I mean, the moment the amp produces sounds, it’s good to go, right?
Also, i never leave the amp on for long periods of time. Only when i practice, do i turn it on. So that’s about an hour or two per day, if i’m lucky. This isn’t always the case.

For the rest, i’m sure i need some more investigating. Matched pairs, poison the cathode etc… all new stuff i’m going to read about.

@AJSki2fly i’m going to see what the people at Thomann will say. Depending on that, i’ll decide whether or not i’ll send the tubes/valves back, but it’s a good idea. Thank you.

I was literally waiting for someone to start on how different tubes affect tone so that I could link that guys videos on the matter. :grin:
