I put this down as a one off yesterday but the app just won’t load for me. It says ‘Trying to connect to the server. please check your internet connection’.
Nowt wrong with my internet! I’m using a 9th gen iPad, OS 15.4.1
I did update the app a couple of days ago so assume it’s something in the update causing this?
My workaround is to open/close the app a gazillion times and then it finally opens.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Just to add, I’ve done the usual turn it off and turn it back on again routine 
Now I’m in the app, I can see it’s v3.1.15.

Hi, I have the same issue with the app not starting but a full power cycle of my 2017 iPad Pro running 15.4.1 has not fixed the issue.
I am happy to delete the app and reinstall it as long as I know it won’t lose my progress or information,

Found this thread iPhone App Issue - April 29? so assumed it was fine to delete and reinstall the app. Problem solved.
When you did that, did it remember your progress, one minute chord change scores, etc?
Yep, everything was still there.
When I removed it it confirmed if I wanted to stay subscribed, I said yes. Re-installed and all my progress (and saved password) were still in place.
I didn’t loose any progress. But to be honest I use my PC 75% of the time and the app and PC don’t sync well. All my saved songs etc. were still there for me. @glint

I just noted my iPad updated the app to v3.1.17 today. The app opened first time which was nice! 
I too experienced this problem today, the app stuck at the splash screen. Force quitting and re-launching resulted in the same.
The workaround stated in this thread did work (delete and re-install).
However, in case it helps Musopia, I checked out my device logs from the Console, to see if anything obvious was being reported, that may or may not assist with debugging:
