There are a lot of opinions on laminate vs solid wood. There are some very high end guitars with laminates used purposefully and well. Some classical guitars even have a ādouble topā which is a high end special laminate top.
We think of plywood and crappy wood when we think of laminates. Some guitars, especially low end ones may use such woods, but such is not always the case. Layering different woods and grain directions of good time woods can be an advantage.
I have a nice old and well regarded Japanese classical guitar. Solidly mid-end and it is laminate back and sides with solid cedar top. Sounds great.

I am definitelly looking for Furch, but then there is too much to keep in mind while picking new guitar. Trust meā¦ it is more complex than choosing new car to buy.
@Jamolay I agree. Watched lot of videos where guys talked about laminated and in some tests it was winnerā¦ more likely there is 95% sound in TOP and 5% is just EQ back and sides. How someone said in video.
This will be all the time big topic and if someone wont measure it with some machine it will be all the time preference by your own ears and maybe this is also why is this music world so unique and great. Not same.
Donāt go into buying a new guitar thinking it will make you a better guitarist.
Wanting a new guitar isnāt a bad think but donāt buy one for the wrong reason.

I am aware of these ārulesā and maybe because inner me thinking I dont deserve it I dont have it yet, because I got money for thatā¦ but one part inside me is telling me I should learn more to deserve it. Another side is telling me it would be great to have brand from my country all solid. But not trying to think it would make me betterā¦
