Beginner Bass Instruction

Hi Folks,
I recently bought my wife a Bass (electric!) and she wants something like JustinGuitar to start learning from.

Any advice on who of the thousands online might have a good grasp of the teaching methodology to help us out?

My wife (and I for that matter) have been taking lessons from Josh on Bassbuzz.com. We have really enjoyed the lessons. He takes you from a total beginner which is great. He also has a very quirky sense of humor that we enjoy.

Bass Basics

Hello wise people of the community … I’m toying with the idea of buying a cheap bass for some recording. With the exception of one I made from a desk as a school project in the 80s I’ve never owned one … so where to start? I’m looking for cheap because I don’t expect it’ll be used that much, but I’ve no idea what I should be looking for.
