Hi Folks,
I recently bought my wife a Bass (electric!) and she wants something like JustinGuitar to start learning from.
Any advice on who of the thousands online might have a good grasp of the teaching methodology to help us out?

Have a look at some of the answers on this thread:
I am learning electric guitar with Justin and want to also learn base guitar. I see Justin doesn’t teach base, can anyone recommend a similar online course for base guitar? thanks.
Cheers,
Keith

My wife (and I for that matter) have been taking lessons from Josh on Bassbuzz.com . We have really enjoyed the lessons. He takes you from a total beginner which is great. He also has a very quirky sense of humor that we enjoy.

You will find some interesting information in these threads as well:
Hi everyone,
I’ve been learning guitar and following Justin’s guitar course since the end of June 2023. I’m on Grade 2, Module 10 and consolidating what I have learnt in that module. Progress is steady but slow. I’m not in a big hurry to try and advance as fast as possible. I practice nearly every day about 1 hour - sometimes more, sometimes less. I love the course and I feel that I am making progress. It’s definitely addictive.
However, I have always wanted to play the bass guitar. I (mis)spe…
Hello wise people of the community …
I’m toying with the idea of buying a cheap bass for some recording. With the exception of one I made from a desk as a school project in the 80s I’ve never owned one … so where to start?
I’m looking for cheap because I don’t expect it’ll be used that much, but I’ve no idea what I should be looking for. Aesthetically I have a soft spot for traditional, so I was thinking about Squire, but very open to ideas.
Hello
I’m Artem, I play guitar and I have a confession to make.
I am absolutely in LOVE with bass.
Every instrument is cool in its own right and has its place. especially if it makes its player happy.
I’m a huge rock fan and mostly listen to rock, blues and metal. And the last Sunday I’ve listened to one Sabbath live album (The End - Live in Birmingham) and on this weekend I was listening to some Maiden on shuffle and I just have to say it somewhere: I LOVE BASS!
I always liked it, but when…
Hi everyone.
I stumbled upon JustinGuitar lessons/courses, I went through some lessons, I quite like them so far. My plan is that - if this time I will be able to stick to the idea of learning how to play the guitar - I will at some point purchase the bass guitar (and some entry-level combo amp) - for whatever reasons the bass guitar seems to be more fun Yesterday I found some older video from Justin where he suggests that an electric guitar may be actually a better one for newcomers, du…
