Thanks for the encouragement! Best wishes on your own progress! I don’t know if anyone ever overcomes the conflicted feelings about putting a recording of one’s playing out in public. My attempts at this recording were all problematic because at one point or other I botched the playing so badly it ruined what came after. Maybe you won’t have that problem, but if you do, it’s probably better to cut your losses, pick the best of what you consider a bad batch of attempts and put it out there. Often we’re our own severest critics. My next recording will be put in the “Audio-Video of You Playing” topic at some point in the near future, I hope.
This is so great Jim! As others have said, you’re definitely more than ready enough to get into the regular section. Your soothing voice adds a nice texture to this song, and your strumming is smooth and constantly in rhythm. I also love that you switched up the strumming inbetween verses and picking out single notes whilst singing - not easy at all! Congrats on putting your first video out and hope to see many more!
