Books to supplement Justinguitar?

Im a visual learner and rely heavily on YouTube. Check out Den on “Guitar Secrets”. He has great videos with corresponding books that are visually appealing.

Not trying to turn this into an argument, but I’ll say that, on a daily basis, a significant number of my students came to class unprepared, clearly not having done any of the assigned reading. I’m guessing they had a lot of free time.

What about the prepared ones? They have 16hrs a day of uni commitments? How did I ever finish my undergraduate and two masters courses.

I understand that. I did a bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD as a “non-traditional student,” working full time and raising a family. I was merely cautioning him to make sure that adapting to college life is a priority. Your parents aren’t there to make sure you’re going to class. Your professors aren’t going to accommodate you or care about your excuses. The freedom that comes with being at college can also be freedom to fail.

I agee, studies should always be priority.

Bob Dylan told Martin Scorsese in “No Direction Home”, that although he attended U. of Minnesota for one year, he didn’t remember actually attending a single class. So, maybe not always a priority :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

Should be, not are. Corrected.

Actually, in Bob’s case, it’s lucky that studying wasn’t the priority. Lucky for us!

I bought a Hal Leonard book while at the beginning of Justin’s course, that was almost 2 years ago & I have yet to play along with his versions of the songs. I’m into finger picking but Justin teaches all the basics & his lessons, if you follow along, are fantastic!
