Chord Embellishments

:+1: Yea I can lose the bookmark. :sunglasses:

You’ll see many of these little techniques in Grade 3. Some are learned quickly, others take surprisingly long to master.

You’ll enjoy Grade 3 for sure, but be ready to work patiently and for longer durations on some of the lessons.

I can’t afford patience. I’m too old.

With a name like Fast Eddie, you probably zipped right through. :grinning:

Thanks

@dblinden Your in luck Justin has a 3 part lesson on Patience and It’s full of chord embellishments.

@LievenDV Thank you for posting this very helpful content, Lieven. I’m currently working on Module 15 with the D Chord Explorer and this makes it a lot easier to get it into practice! Great! :green_heart:

@LievenDV
Plus one from me as well Lieven.
Reading through your post has made me realise that I did nowhere near enough practice with the sus chords in module 11
I’ve bookmarked it and will definitely be coming back to it during consolidation at the end of the grade. Cheers!

Well, I’ve been practicing with Justin’s course for 3 years now. I’m almost finished with Grade 3, but I skipped all of the fingerstyle lessons along the way. I’m planning on going back and doing the fingerstyle lessons soon.

I practice 30-40 minutes a day, 5-6 days a week. At 58 years old, I’ve got time, but no where near as much as I’d like LOL!

This is my third time trying to learn guitar. I quit the 1st two times because:

 - I didn't have the patience to stick with it
 - I didn't know how important it was to NOT FRET TOO HARD!!

If time is not on your side, I’d suggest that you’ll enjoy the time you spend slowly & effectively learning the guitar skills you want than quickly becoming frustrated at your lack of progress due to rushing through things.

YMMV

Nice one Lieven, thank you. I know I have most of this already but always good to keep reading it. Best wishes.
