I just got a year of the app and I can’t seem to get the microphone on my laptop or phone to pick up the notes consistently. It feels like I have to nearly tear the string off to get the app to recognize the notes in the chord perfect exercises.
I tune the guitar before every practice session, but the app just randomly decides if a perfect note is good enough or not.
Is this a me thing or is the app known to have this issue?
@Alemag87 Alexander, I can’t help with the App, which is developed and supported by Musopia. Please refer to this post for direction on how to raise issues and get support
Sorry you are having problems. Like David said check the dev answers tons of questions and it could be some easy fix with the phone and app.
I wish I could give you experience with the app. I just set a timer for 60 seconds and then do as many as possible until the beep. Like the website lesson suggested. I count as I go, Try with a timer if you dont find a solution.
A lot of the other excersizes with the app are good and very useful I hear. Keep working at it.
It’s not the one time changes though, it’s the chord perfect. The laptop (MacBook Pro M4 pro) microphone doesn’t pick up the guitar at all. The iPhone picks up for tuning and one minute changes, but randomly doesn’t work for the Chord perfect exercises. I’ve reads around and it seems many people have been having sporadic errors like this. I paid for a year in advance, I hope it works before the year is over.
Same problem here. Chord Perfect will not register a note no matter how hard, light, right, or wrong I pick it until… I open the “Mic Test” app on my phone. Once I open that Mic Test app the Justin Guitar app starts picking things up just fine.
It strange, because when I start Chord Perfect on my Android S21, the green light on the screen indicating that “recording” is happening turns on. So the microphone does appear to turn on, but it registers nothing.
I installed the Mic Test app because I thought something was wrong with the microphone, but it immediately started showing me that it was hearing the guitar. So I went back to the Justin Guitar app and it and it starts working just fine.
Then after I get through the 3x times of successful note picking, if I restart and/or exit Chord Perfect, the same thing happens. The Mic green light comes on, but nothing is registered until I open up use my Mic Test app again.
To be specific the app I am using is called “Mic Test - Instant Audio Check”
