Concern about marketing info that is misleading - "Free" trial for the app

Please stop @-ing me.

The trial is clearly not free, and labeling it as such is obviously incorrect and bad for your brand. Trying to convince me that there is some nuance to it is, honestly, insulting and a waste of our time. Moreover, I already bought the product. You stand to gain nothing here.

I took the time to point out the problem. Fix it or not. But please stop asking for any more of my time.

Please stop @-ing me.

Wow. You received a very polite answer, from several people, telling you they understand your comment and take it at heart. You don’t have to be grateful for it, you don’t have to thank them for it, but telling them pretty much to shut the f***up is not how to deal with this.

See? I wasted your time again. That’s because you posted an uncalled for reaction. I wouldn’t have if you just had not reacted, or had politely asked: “Please, don’t tag me.”.

Storm in a teacup…
There are clearly three purchase options in the screenshot you shared :

  1. $240 per year in $20 monthly instalments, cancel any time
  2. $104 full-year payment (£8.66/month, save 40%), no trial period
  3. $130 full-year payment (£10.83/month, save 25%) but with a free, yes free trial period (That means you don’t pay for anything if you don’t want to continue)

But…
All is not as it appears
Looking more closely, the OP does seem to have a case for ‘false advertising’.
£8.66 instead $20 of per month is a 57% saving, not the 40% stated, and
£10.83 represents a 46% saving, not the 25% stated.
It seems as if they’re reluctant to admit how much better a deal it is you’re being offered :open_mouth:
Get your act together @MusopiaApps! :face_with_monocle:

Apologies, if I’ve made any glaring miscalculations- even ‘world leaders’ have been known to get their sums wrong when working with ‘percentage savings’…

I agree with the OP’s suggestion of Musopia not tagging them, as any response to a thread you start will give you a notification for new comments (as Els so eloquently demonstrates).

Meanwhile, I’m getting back to my fun, completely free guitar lessons with JustinGuitar :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:
