Covers re-imagined / revisited

@Gonetoearth have you seen Josh’s Paul Simon stuff?
daaaammmnnn it’s good;
Still Crazy After All Those Years, Graceland…
he even did a tour with Paul Simon songs!

You guys are digging up some real gems here!

Hi @LievenDV - I have! He even has Simon’s voice down to a ‘T’ doesn’t he. My favourite is his cover of “The only living boy in New York” - just beautifully done.

Nice! While we’re talking about Crazy, I can’t get enough of this cover by Glass Animals. I’m not a big Glass Animals fan in general (nothing against them, just not my jam) but I love what they did with this cover.

How about a couple from the late, great Michael Hedges then? Here’s Like a Rolling Stone and Gimme Shelter ( )

One of my favourite covers of Metallica’s Enter Sandman, also live instead of the studio version!
The Warning and Alessia Cara Enter Sandman, track 1 on the Metallica Blacklist album!

Dio would have been well impressed!!!

Don’t know if this counts as sounding completely different than the original, but I thought it was lovely, especially playing the lead guitar with the bass!

Chris daughtry covering Rocket man is amazing. This guy has some pipes on him for singing and the guitar playing is fantastic.

That’s it! I just need another three pairs of hands and I’ll be able to play like that.

Just the ticket Stitch, as I do like an AP cover. Bookmarked for a beer chill later this evening ! :sunglasses:

One that @brianlarsen might like, Patty Gurdy’s cover of Over the hills and far away.

She’s a very accomplished Hurdy Gurdy player amongst a few at her ancient instruments.

@stitch :rabbit: :hole: :rabbit: What you done boy !!

Only ever heard the album version and the live version off the remastered Nuthin Fancy back in 99. Sounds darn good on acoustic. Just when I kick started Justin Solo Blues course again After an hour of Who-ing could be something different tomorrow evening. Good thing about Adam’s video is its very easy to see what he is playing, so useful to use as a guide. Forgot it was so damn long as well. Just checked the album out again, great to hear Ronnie’s voice.
Great share. :sunglasses:

Whoa Darrell do I like that or what. Always loved this song but this is a crackling cover. Love the musicality and the old Donavon doofer thing ! She has one of those voices that pulls you in. Must check her other material and brief my daughter !
