There arenāt many riding through here in winter. Just the odd one or two.
My bike goes away for winterā¦ once salt goes down on the roads itās game over until spring (that and my hands get too cold). Iāve ridden through winter in the past but have no need to do it now so my bike stays looking shiny and new

I live near Squires Cafe Bar which is a famous rendezvous for motorcyclists. We see amazing bikes and bikers all through the year.

Have been there many times Brian. Often a stopping point on the way to/from the east coast. From where I live to get there, Leeds is kind of in the way so itās a bit of an uninspiring urban ride. My default route these days is round the Yorkshire Dales or Forest of Bowland
All this talk of Vincentās needs this songā¦
(I used to be an instructor, but hung up my leathers many years ago now)
Be careful out there! I let go of riding in the 90ās after an unfortunate run in with an Oldsmobile.
I had a ride across the bonnet/hood of a Land Rover 10+ years ago but got away mostly unscathed and have kept on riding
I rode for several years when I was younger. I scared myself taking a country bend way too fast and, to avoid hitting the deck at speed if I continued round the bend, I straightened and ended up running off the road through a thicket of shrubs and trees. Luckily I stayed upright and didnāt hit anything as I brought myself to a relieved stop. Phew.
My diagnosis of epilepsy made me decide to sell and be a 4-wheel fellow ever since.
Was disappointed when it moved from the old cafe in Sherburn, the atmosphere was amazing back then but it just got to big and some folks go to stupid ! But started many a run out from the ānewā site while I was living in Wakey.
On the subject of winter, never seen the road gritted in my part of Normandie and despite deep deep frost (-10 some years) the main roads never seem to ice over like they do in the UK. Much better for your pride and joy but we get more mud and on the road around here. And other encounters to worry about with crazy huge Combines around July and in Autumn !!
Still would not want to go head to head with one of those ! Lid on or not.
