Yeah thats the guy whos videos I was talking about in my comment. its not, what you use to hold the pick ups, it is the pick up them selves. Very informative. As a matter of fact all his videos were great. Especially for a big DIY person like me.
Sort of throws the my $3000 tone wood body thing out the window.
these are pretty sexy guitars with some nonstandard materials (aluminum necks and carbon fiber fretboards). they’re built in my city and I used to drive past their shop every time I’d go to work.
The wood bodies are a new addition (and a touch less expensive). I didn’t know they were doing those. Their guitars used to only come in aluminum or lucite bodies.
I’d like to see, for once, graphical representations of the sounds that guitars make when they’re being played.
My ears haven’t adjusted (yet) to terms like, spongy, gritty, dark, bright upper tone or other terms sprinkled around in much video’s i watch about guitars and the sounds they make when being played.
When sound is represented in graphics on a screen, you can exactly point out the difference in tones, no?
