If you use iPad camera along with an external microphone, what type of mic do you use? A USB mic of some kind?

I find a USB mic and iPad camera works well for simply recording video and audio. The video in the thread of myself and @brianlarsen in action shows this setup in action. Even, even more real people 🤯 - #25 by brianlarsen

Very simple set up, a Snowball Ice Blue mic and a usb c hub (from Amazon) plugged into my iPad and just videoed without any clever software. Records well into GarageBand as well. As Brian said we just plonked the mic on a chair. An impromptu recording session! Richard [IMG_4220]
