Did you already glue the nut? If all the string heights are the same at the 1st fret and equally high, you can file the bottom of the nut until it’s the right height, if you didn’t already glue it.
I bought a Tusq XL pre slotted nut. Not very expensive. Then if you watch videos like on Stewmac they recommend just filing the bottom to the right height before gluing it in. Worked well for me.
Nut files are expensive and you need 6 of them. It’s only worth it if you will make lots of guitars or regularly change nuts. I think buying a good quality pre-slotted nut and then filing is cheaper and easier.
