So very true my friend; and I’ve found this time and time again.
Hitting the same skill area from different angles keeps my mind sharper and more focused. I often have to be careful not to overstay my welcome on a particular exercise, just because I haven’t got it ‘perfect’. It’s can be a real mind game at times.
I think that ‘autopilot’ can kick in on an exercise after a while, and focus can suffer; for me, that’s not what I want to be doing when practicing.
I’m always aiming to be on the edge of my comfort zone; and at times I have to check myself that I’m not ‘going through the motions’.
