Getting in the "zone"

This is such an interesting thread! Here’s a couple of pic of the book I’m reading at the moment, one of Justin’s reccomendations, The Inner Game of Music, which came after The Inner Game of Tennis, The Inner Game of skiing and then Golf, as Jk says

I’m pretty sure you’ll find them inspiring as I do!

If you think you want to read it don’t be prevented by the standard notation exercises, they’re just examples, you can substitute those with something you know better.

I’m so much ā€œskilledā€ at getting in my own way :see_no_evil_monkey::see_no_evil_monkey::see_no_evil_monkey: Now I’m getting into the idea I can improve my performance by reducing my self interference instead of increasing my potential by learning new techniques.

We need to trust ourselves.

I feel personally struck in the heart.

Probably because I’ve been thinking about this in relation to other parts of my life, but… Yeah. Onto the to-read list this book goes.

That’s what I felt too when Justin introduced the book in his lesson The Objective Observer.

It’s being a real eye-opener for me…
