Good day, all! I mainly lurk these days, but it’s great to see this board and Justin’s site still active. Lots of memory here.
I’ve been playing for a good while, but I’m starting to learn the art of mixing. Lots of errors here, but I need to get the junk out of my system prior to making strides.
Robert, if that was you singing, great job on that. Guitar playing too. Video was a bit dark and not easy to see, but other than that, really good, sir!
Welcome back, Robert. Great playing. Quite a challenge to mix all those vocal parts (unless it was the original as a backing track that you played over). Either way, enjoyed it. Such a great song
Thanks for listening, everyone. Yep, all voices are mine. Controlling my Falsetto is something on which I’ve worked for about a year now, very difficult for me but I’ve made progress with vocal range I feel. It just took time.
As for this song, I started with the guitar/one vocal line as a foundation and built from there. I’ve listened to this song at least 15,000 times over my lifetime (it’s my favorite song ever and I’m on the spectrum lol) so it is well internalized/embedded into my brain.
Apologies for the bad lighting. Will turn them on next time! Lol
Absolutely fabulous Robert. I’ve probably only listened to the song about 20 times at a guess…and a lot of those while my wife is watching a rerun of Love Actually! But It is a fabulous song and you’ve done it so well!
