Hi Sammal, warmest greetings from Poland  Please allow me to say it was a great decision to join this extremely helpful and friendly community, where you can learn a lot, share your music (even at a very early stage, no need to be shy  ), get technical assistance, or just chat with the folks here.
Enjoy every minute spent on these forums.
Best, Tomasz

Hi Sammal, welcome to the community. Have a lot of fun learning to play the guitar. Now you also have the advantage of Justin’s left handed guitar practice that Justin calls Nitsuj Practice

Welcome to the forum, look forward to hearing more from you

Hello Sammal.

Welcome to JustinGuitar and this fantastic community.
Please take your time to look around and get to know the wider space. View by Categories.

We are a supportive and encouraging group of students and guitarists from across the world. Essentially, we are all here for music and to improve as players. We truly are a ‘community’. Members help and support one another and a friendly, positive attitude underpins this. We hope that all - young or old, experienced or new players - adopt and foster the pay-it-forward ethos that Justin personifies and embedded all those years ago when he started the website and forum.

Also, please make sure to read the Community Etiquette announcement for some important information and guidance.

If you want to record yourself to show your progress and / or seek feedback there is our ever popular Community Recordings section.

Behind the scenes there is a small and dedicated team who work to make the JustinGuitar experience as good as it can be. Check out the Onboarding sessions provided by Fanny.

Justin also has a small group of Approved Teachers he recommends for people wanting 1-to-1 lessons to supplement his courses - of which I am privileged to be one.

We also host regular (virtual) JustinGuitar Community Open Mic events for community members.

That is plenty to be going on with. It is a vast community space so if you need help as you find your way around just ask.

Cheers. Richard

a warm welcome to you Sammal from Germany :guitar: :slightly_smiling_face:.

Hi Sammal. I have a question for you. As a left-handed person, are you playing a left-handed guitar? I am a lefty who chose to play right handed, and am satisfied with that decision. Strumming at a fast pace will always be a challenge, but I’m OK with that because I prefer slower, melodic music. No desire to become a “shredder” on guitar. If you search you will find some threads in the forum about this topic. In any case, your mind-finger coordination can only get better as you practice, practice and practice.

Oh that is cool! Will check that out😌

Yes im playing left handed guitar:) my mom got one from me when i was yonger and i dont really have money to buy a new one :') it has been okay so far but i feel that because Well i use my left hand for everything. Hardest part is to translate all the all the right handed stuff to left handed and actually understand what is going on…

Once you feel like you can strum your guitar and play some chords OK, you might visit a guitar store and spend time trying a right-handed guitar, just to see how it feels to you. Either way it’s hard to train your brain so your hands can do totally different, challenging things at the same time!
