Hello good peoples from Jeremiah

Thanks for the advice! The place I picked my guitar up from did a basic setup on it before selling it. It could use a cleaning though, switch is a bit crackly. I’m really trying hard to resist the temptation to yank it apart and do a full cleaning on the electronics and polish the frets up. It overall plays good though. The A string does buzz a bit when I’m doing E chords. But I think that’s probably more technique than setup issues. I’m struggling to get my 3rd finger close to the fret, so it has a bit of buzz. Still working on building the calluses up. I’m hoping once my finger tips are a blob of soft fleshy magoo, I’ll be able to be a bit more precise with placement.

I figured I’d play it as is for now and get used to what it should feel like, before meddling as I tend to do.

You can see if that buzzing is your fretting or your setup, by putting the guitar horizontal, and working the A string down, fretting that one string just hard enough to make it ring true, and moving onto the next fret. If you get a buzz because of an errant fret or some such, it’ll be repeatable.

ahhh, but breaking things is how we learn so much…
