I’m Mick from London, 67 years old and finally decided to bite the bullet and learn guitar. I already play a bit of piano so I’m hoping this might help with the theory side of things
Wishing good luck to all new learners young and old

Welcome to the community, Mick!
You will probably benefit from your piano knowledge. Wish you loads of fun exploring guitar land!
Welcome Mick! I think you’re correct, your theory knowledge will fit right into your guitar learning. While Justin does introduce theory at appropriate times and has an entire theory course, I wish I’d “taken that class” already long ago.
Hi Mick, welcome to the community forum. I’m 69 and still learning things in Justins lessons, so you have come to the right place. Piano and exposure to music theory will help you as you progress. Justin sometimes uses piano to explain concepts in music theory, since some things are easier to show on a piano.
Welcome Mick, never to old to rock n roll !
Right on. Come get yournrock on.
Hi Mick,
welcome here and I wish you a lot of fun
Greetings,Rogier
Welcome Mick, you will totally enjoy the guitar journey. Your music theory will help alot.

Hello Mick.
Welcome to JustinGuitar and this fantastic community. Please take your time to look around and get to know the wider space.

We are a supportive and encouraging group of students and guitarists from across the world. Essentially, we are all here for music and to improve as players. We truly are a ‘community’. Members help and support one another and a friendly, positive attitude underpins this. We hope that all - young or old, experienced or new players - adopt and foster the pay-it-forward ethos that Justin personifies and embedded all those years ago when he started the website and forum.
Also, please make sure to read the community etiquette announcement for some important information and guidance.

This has certainly been my experience in the short time I’ve been using the site. The amount of time people take to be welcoming and helpful is a credit to all
