Hello Andrea and welcome to the community.
I agree with you, learning to play is like a drug.
Hello Andrea and welcome to the community.
I agree with you, learning to play is like a drug.
Hi Andrea,
I came here from @tRONd’s log as I didn’t want to hijack it too far from the depressing Norwegian bard
I never said hello anyway, so… ‘Hello. And welcome’
“Till now, I was only singing with my headphones on while doing other stuff in the house. My husband didn’t move out yet…so there is hope. I have to work on that singing issue in the future. Another point on my list. But first I have to concentrate on my guitar skills, so much to learn. I really underestimated how hard it is to coordinate fretting, strumming and singing simultaneous. Works sometimes, when I know a song by heart and support by the app. I’m 53 now, years run by, hope, there will be enough time to ever reach a certain level of playing.”
It’s much harder to sing with headphones, as you don’t hear what you’re singing that well. But the fact that you enjoy to sing means you will definitely get where you would like to go (with a bit of effort).
There are many good players who had not even thought of picking up the guitar at the young age of 53
I would only advise that you think of yourself as a guitar player now (and singer too, if that’s something you would like to do), instead of waiting for a magical moment to arrive in the future.
If you are enjoying your instrument, that’s as good as it gets
Weiter so!
Hi, Brian, you’re right, I’ll focus on the guitar playing right now, it’s fun anyway. Singing for me is something to add later, I’m not in any hurry.
Maybe not hearing myself singing might be the only reason why I’m still doing it
