Welcome back Jeff
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I’m glad to hear everyone is still here and doing well. I’m looking forward to following everyone’s progress and seeing the videos. I think that is what I missed the most, seeing how great everyone is doing with their new songs and techniques. See you all around.
Jeff, welcome back to guitar and the community forum. Like others have said, sometimes you have to go back and regroup to go forward. You have more experience and can be a better teacher to yourself when relearning the basics. You have more fun when you like how you’re playing sounds. It’s great that you can play songs with your daughter. It makes your playing so much more rewarding.
Good to hear from you Jeff and welcome back. Really pleased that you’ve found your way through some challenges and even more really pleased to read…
Hope you continue to get all the smiles you need
Welcome back, Jeff. I remember your avatar name!!
I think you have a good plan and hope you’re better at the Green Day song than I am, I’m thinking of dropping it for now. See you around!
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for the welcome message. I have many times dropped a song I couldn’t master . There’s nothing wrong with that. Often times I follow Justin’s advice, “if it sounds good it is good “. I mean no need to sound exactly like the original artist. This is a copy of what I did a while back for that song . No arpeggios nothing fancy but lots of views on my you tube channel.
I’m hoping to do a better version with more dynamics and no more sitting lol.
Jeff
Thank you!
Glad you’re back, well done for picking yourself and the guitar back up! It sounds like a great approach that you have taken.
Hi Kim,
Thanks for stopping by to say hello and wish me well. I appreciate you.
Hi Jeff, welcome back. Good you decided to continue playing and participating in the forum. Going through the lessons again can help you to find points of improvement and facilitate later development. Have fun playing guitar together with your daughter.
Hi Andres,
Thanks for the welcome back. This time around I’m hoping to set achievable goals and be honest and realistic with my own capabilities. Anyone here would love to be the next Eddie Van Halen. I won’t be this year or next year . I will take baby steps though and keep it moving.
