I can almost put my whole indey finger through the other fingers, is my hand position too high? It does ring out clear like this though…

If you mean ‘under your fingers’ then that’s good, they are nicely bent and stand neatly straight as needed on the strings, as long as your wrist is not bent too far so that it can cause complaints, it’s good. For example at 4:30 of the video it is clearly visible (coincidentally I stopped there, so probably earlier too)

thanks for your reply. As you said that, I checked one recording I did of myself playing the chords (a and d), but I noticed my hand position was really weird. Like my wrist was too much bent, so that it hurt after only playing for a few minutes… Now I realized I probably have to adjust my hand position, but hope that the chords will still ring out well…
