Improving a cheap guitar?

I should have mentioned above - The one change I made to guitars that is very handy is to add locking tuners. They are somewhat expensive, but I really appreciate the ease I can change strings now. If you are feeling like improving a guitar you like, this is easy and useful.

I fought the winding on my Ibanez every time I changed strings. Coaxing the string to wind correctly was no fun and I often would have too much or too little for a good winding on the heavier strings. The locking tuner takes all that away and I get consistent winding each string change now - or is that lack of winding?

Hallo, bought a cheep guitar myself, a Dymavery ST 303, of this guitar the tuners and strings were bad. Changed both and now the guitar stays in tune. If your guitar is ok and stays in tune why should you make changes to your guitar?
