Definitely return it and get a replacement. If you want your guitar to have âcharacterâ it should be due to dents and scratches that youâve inflicted on it, not ones that itâs received before it became yours.
I would ask the seller for a partial refund in order to keep the guitar if youâre willing to accept the slight damage. If it were me, Iâd keep the guitar for 15% to 25% refund. But you need to go with your feelings.
Good luck!
Tod
this is true, every dent and scratch I give my guitar increases the base mojo by 2%.
It must be a form of OCD. I canât stand seeing any damage on my guitars. My oldest guitar is the Dean Zelinsky strat type. Iâve had it for over nine years, and the only scratches are on the pick guard. Iâm totally baffled by people buying ârelicedâ guitars.
Doesnât Amazon give an option to replace with the same product if you tell them it is damaged?
NO. Amazon should do an exchange at no cost to you. I magnified the picture by 10 and it appears there is a small crack in the back as well as separation of the back and base. Either could get much worse in short order.
