You’re better off with a gannet on a stick.
Brian my very short reply takes the form of once more at your creativity! That little space when the chorus starts flying really caught my ear! I like differences, though and I like them to be acknowledged, it’s the mindset of people that needs to change. Great work Sir!
That was great, Brian! Really interesting song along with the back story, and also, due to the benefit of me being very late to the party!, an equally interesting read through the evolving thread above. Thoroughly enjoyable all round!
Well, a few years back my sister-in-law moved into a new place by the sea and whilst I was visiting with my parents she messaged me from there. I read the message and then relayed to everyone present that “[my-sister-in-law] has just had a shag in her backyard and she’s sent through a picture!”. My dad nearly fell over
@sairfingers Cheers, Gordon
Actually, I prefer lyrics that are ambiguous or even incomprehensible. Happens all the time with songs in other languages (or foreigners writing in English ) You get new perspectives over time…
It’s gotta be a great song to carry ‘I love you, Baby’
Vielen Dank
There’s as much ‘art’ in interpreting art, as creating it in the first place
Cheers Jeff, appreciate the listen and long read, not to mention the comments
Haha, that sounds too much like an apocryphal story
You’re welcome sir…your wish is my command and I will certainly not stop posting incomprehensible texts with an inappropriate F# here and there…
But … OVER TIME … have you already reached this point that it will be of use/helps to you ,or is it in my case … NOT in this life time?
Greetings
Haha, I was really talking about continental artists writing songs in English, but yes, there was a clickbait element involved
and new perspectives are interesting/fun rather than useful
Quote Brian… " and new perspectives are always interesting fun rather than and useful from you"
Aaaa thank you Brian
I prefer to edit the actual quote
After last Wednesday’s election results, you have to feel a little sorry and allow a little space/compassion with this earth and animal and fellow human beings loving all over the world guy…hard times ,very hard times …I have to get the smile back from somewhere
As I heard the results, you were the first person that came to my mind (ok, you are the only? Dutchman I “know”) and I thought: “Outch, what is Rogier going to say?” I hope you already recovered? As we should not write about politics, I send you a
Ooooooooooooooooooo …
No
This way felt safe
And now
Thanks for sharing, Brian. Really enjoyed it. Also glad to see that someone else cranks things out quickly once they’re started.
Cheers Jay. Much appreciated-
Songs can take a morning or a lifetime
There’s a lyric right there, as is or with a different first word
Missed this the first time round Brian - some very important sentiments very well expressed in the music. That is what songs are all about (says he who only does instrumentals ). Excellent work.
Haha, you’re probably right, Mari
But I have the outlaws visiting, I’m supposed to be practicing for Saturday’s OM and I’m trying to work on another family and friends project
I’m afraid it’ll have to go on the back burner
@twistor59 Cheers, Phil
Much appreciate the listen and positve vibes.
Grass is always greener on the other side
Hey, already that fun time of the year again that’s about ‘how to create as many distractions as possible for Brian’
Wish you peaceful and happy time together
Et tu, Brute?
Hey Brian,
I failed algebra, so I am not sure if x=y mate. But I will take your word for it. This is a bit off the beaten path. In that light it shines! I wonder what is next. “Is up down”? There, you have the start of a new song idea!
Good effort and take good care!
