Ma se ghe pensu - English Version...to all those who live far away from their homeland

Absolutely effective way to describe it! I think it is tougher when you move to place where a different language from your own is spoken; that’s not the case of english-speaking countries as your mothertongue is the language of your soul and inner feelings.

Thank you Luc, I so appreciate your support and to know that these aspects are shining through!

Silvia, I suspect that while there may be some cultural and societal differences, it is probably more similar than different. Perhaps the biggest difference would be living in the southern hemisphere near the Tropic of Cancer, and for me, at 1750m inland. So we have a most agreeable climate.

Of course we also have a political legacy, but guess that is somewhat true in most places. Of course even if yuo want to dig into this, Community etiquette dictates that we cannot.

Pamela I’m afraid my bad pronunciation and above all dropping the ‘s’ on plurals and not finishing the words didn’t help. I hope you hearing loss is just a bit.

I’m very happy you liked my interpretation!

:smiling_face_with_three_hearts: these are those memorise one cherishes forever and make you feel a place or situation “home”.

Lisa you commented so wonderfully on my performance! I don’t know if I really deserve it all but I’ m so happy you enjoyed it that much :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: One thingis sure: practicing this really made me feel grow as a musician! … and here I must confess “me” and “musician” in the same sentence feels a bit strange :laughing::open_mouth::blush:

This is what I would mean by “home”. We don’t have a word for it in italian, Casa is for us the building one lives in even if we use the word in a broader sense…when I was learning english at school they taught me house = casa but also home = casa but that there was a broader meaning connected with the emotional aspect of it. Something like…

It is actually, not my intention to dig into this aspect…but some lighter reading for me about the economy, society and your most agreeable climate

And the somewhat scary wildlife! :joy:

I expect a Google search would take care of that

At least that wildlife stays in the wild, Gordon, and can generally be viewed quite safely from vehicles  Of course there are some exceptional events which are unfortunate and I am excluding situations where foreign tourists leave their vehicles to approach lion on foot (yes, it has happened), so not without some risk.

But probably at more risk driving on city roads than from the wildlife
