I had a lovely Halloween yesterday evening but I couldnt find time to play 
I prepared 20 little bags of sweets for the kids but 27 kids showed up
I was too short on candies T__T
next year Ill prepare some spare bags just in case
I gave them some remaining cookies instead , there was just a little girl who refused it , just was set on getting candies and nothing else XD
while we waited for the kids we watched “ Merlin “ with Sam Neill , its old but I love it

the madeleines and cookies I baked for the occasion
( I have to admit the madeleines spooked me a little with their starring eyes )
and the 2 pumpkins I carved to decorate

I had to think of your madeleines yesterday when my kid went around with friends. Now the updated version wiith the eyes and the ghosts look great!

The madeleines remind me of some cartoon creatures, like some little spirit from a studio Ghibli film. They’re very cute!

it was a tv drama , not a movie , it had 2 or 3 episodes and it was awesome , I just loved it

Me - not really… But we invited our friends to eat with us while the kids (their and our son) were going through the streets. They brought back sooo many sweets!
Not as nice as yours, but there must have been an english shop owner somewhere near, because they brought quite a few english things that you can’t get here and which were good until december this year. Me, having lived in London 15 years ago, I was happy about this!

I got dressed up for our parkrun event on Saturday morning, I did the timekeeping as usual just in disguise

I can play the Lick’n riff on my electric guitar but I still make some mistakes on my mini acoustic
Im not used to it and the guitar does not stay in place when I play
I guess thats probably why most people play sitting on a chair 
I memorized the first pattern for Wonderfull tonight , I did it faster than I thought
Now I should try to play the first verses with the pattern at a slow pace ( with the riff )

here we had some pumpkin soup with devil eggs , for dessert we had chocolate pies with some ghosts in sugar to decorate them and we drank some prosecco with blackcurrant liqueur to make it red

I just started it but I like it
Its a lot like the Lick’n riff lesson in module 18 , its a bit more difficult because its fingerstyle played
I learned the Lickn’ riff with a pick ^^”

I would have cooked but I didn’t have time that evening so I just brought things from the nice vietnamese restaurant close by.
“devil eggs” sounds inetersting! Oh I like Prosecco with blackcurrant liqeur, that reminds me when my sister lived in Reims and somehow when you lived there you had champagne for all types of occasions, haha. But it was a bit more affordable back then too.
I have to look this up - don’t remember atm.
Gosh! - Looking it up and playing it, there was a strange voice saying “hey” at times. Then, when Justing was finished playing I noticed he was partly muted and a german translation talked! Very well done, but I hate that this was done without asking me - and not on youtube directly, but here on Justin’s site. Sometimes, I don’t like the new tech at all!
Same voice for german, french, italian. Did you stumble upon this too?

If I’d had a sickle as well it would have been a choice for people between running towards the grim reaper or not getting a result as I stand at the finish line!
We have a few events each year where we encourage fancy dress. Think the next one will be Xmas day and I’ll probably have a Santa costume on

I hid in my house from the doorknockers lol… I’m not particularly festive with occasions, never really did halloween. The etiquette here is if the house is not decorated, don’t bother knocking, but if anyone had knocked I was planning on giving them a peanut butter snap because I have some and they’re delicious. Or some grape chews.
It was pretty bright out since it’s getting closer to summer here, I was watering some plants and cleaning the bird bath so I saw my neighbour’s toddlers dressed as little police officers, and a golden retriever with a little vest on with some sort of devilish rider attached to the top. Later, I didn’t get a good look as I was inside and the blinds were mostly closed, but I’m pretty sure someone walked down the street in a costume made at least partly of empty soft drink cans. Maybe they were dressed as the recycling?

Years ago I saw a video of some French guys, if not in Paris then in some French city, in a rainstorm, flopping around in the gutter like a fish. It cracked me up, and I learned poisson was French for fish. If this trick-or-treater had only seen that video, maybe they would’ve got further flopping around like a fish out of water!

I took a subscription at Truefire to replace YS this year
it was already the black friday offer this week ( -60% )
I havent ride my bike in months ( too hot in sumer and after I had a thrombosis )
So i was happy to ride it this morning
November is hot ( 17° C ) here so it was a real pleasure to feel the fresh air blowing on my face
my terrasse looks above the street
I was keeping an eye on my cats while they were playing in the sunshine when a truck passed in the street below me
It was weird because the truck was not allowed to drive there so I had a look at it
to my horror it was a truck with around 10 dead cows and veals inside
not even a tarp to hide them
it stank to high heavens !
it was horrible
