I’m back with an update to my rock songbook project !
Why did it take so long? Well… Blues Immersion took up most of my playing time!
But after all the great conversations we had about Rock Immersion - RIM , I felt the itch to dive back in.
So, big thanks to all the rockers who inspired me to pick up where I left off:

Song #12 : Blur - Song 2
I first learned this one about a year ago and had been practicing it at around 80% speed. Then BLIM took over, and it ended up on the back burner. Today I dusted it off — and to my surprise, I hit 100% speed after 2-3 hours of rehearsing! It’s not a perfect take, but I’m satisfied with it enough to move to song #13.
The main challenges for this song were:
- Speed & Energy – It’s short, fast, and intense. No time to relax!
- Dynamics & Tone – Those quiet, clean verses exploding into massive choruses… so satisfying to play!
- String Muting – At this tempo and with this much gain, keeping unwanted noise under control is a real challenge.
