Chapter 5: The Blues Immersion
I’m giving myself the challenge of writing some original blues solos to consolidate my blues immersion. My first composition was called 63rd Street Blues.
And now let me introduce Escape the A Blues!
I named it for all of us who spend 90% of our blues life stuck in the key of A and finally decided to be brave and try another key for a change. 
It might look like a blues in A at the 5th fret, but it’s actually a D blues in pattern 4—bonus: some pattern-4 licks are easier to play down here than up the neck in A!
