Module 6 Practice

In Summer Of '69 the main verse progressions uses D, A, Bm, G (not B flat).

The bridge is F, Bb, C.

ps
If you’re on Bb at module 6 Grade 1 you are way ahead of the game.

How to apply the variations on 6/8 time signature? I suppose it’s just like the 4/4 (every 4, 8, 12… bars) but now we have 2 accents. The variations need to respect the accents or it’s free (on the variation bar accents don’t matter)?

I’m ready to move on from module 6 but needing a different song in 6/8. Any suggestions? The David Gray song is beautiful but too sad for me in my current state of being.

Hello,
Something I have noticed in previous modules practice as well, the module 6 practice songs video show a capo symbol besides the chord chart. Does that mean we should use a capo. e.g. for the song Hey Joe

Hi Jeanne, welcome to the community. Hopefully you have moved on from module 6. You didn’t need to play a song in 6:8 time to move on from module 6, just practice the 6:8 strumming pattern. You can filter for 6:8 time in the Songs page. There are only 7 songs listed and most are grade 3, but all can be played with grade 2 chords, so you will have more choices if you wait until grade 2 consolidation to learn a song in 6:8 time.

Mohammed, welcome to the community. I am not sure able the capo symbol, but I have never used a capo when I played that song.

Thank you SteveL! I found a song in 6/8 that I played a long tine ago Norwegian Wood. It is perfect and yes I have moved on from module 6. I am also playing Hallelujah with a simple finger style pattern also in 6/8 time. Loving the courses.
