Musical Instrument: Guitar or You?

Me I’m just a Karma Comedian !

Was that the fish movie ?

I flow with the multiverses that have ultimate control of my direction. From my Zen and therefore quantum perspective and the relative and absolute, there is no instrument and no music and there has always been music and instruments and such will always be.

But like the sound of the falling tree in the forest, does anyone practice anymore ?

Well guys…… I must dash. My mind has created a variation of a lick I was playing earlier. I need to go turn it into sound. :musical_notes:

My answer to your question is, to paraphrase the philosopher René Descartes:

“I pick, therefore I jam”

Haha! Nice one!

my voice and all physical aspects supporting it are an instrument too.
Part of my body physicially produced music on an instrument outside my body, the other part on an instrument in my body, my vocal chords.

So my answer is duality; yes and no :stuck_out_tongue:

I think you and the guitar combined are an instrument. The guitar comes to life when you play it. Everybody plays different and so the same guitar sounds different with each person that plays it.

I sing, I strum, I bang on the guitar and talk about what I’m playing so I’d say I’m the instrument and the guitar is just one of the tools I use to create a performance. Other tools, my memory, my feet to stomp, a microphone, an amplifier and effects pedal.

I regard myself to be a musician who plays musical instruments, but I regard them as tools needed for me to achieve my goal - making music!
That’s my personal perspective anyway :man_shrugging:
