My first Classical Guitar Anniversary

@Digger72 @Dro_1 @nzmetal @pkboo3 @TonyHS thank you all so much guys! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::pray::heart_eyes::pray::star_struck::pray::heart::pray: You all wrote such beautiful words that are bringing tears of joys in my eyes!

Love this expression which I didn’t know…and yes I think it perfectly describes me at the moment! :muscle::muscle::muscle::muscle::muscle:

Jeff it’s soooo wonderful to read that my playing was evocative to you :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

That was quite lovely, Silvia! Happy Anniversary! I’m in my 4th year of guitar now, with a shift to classical after two years. I know what you mean about melodies over rhythm, because I gravitated toward fingerpicking, then classical, myself. It is abundantly clear that you enjoy making music, so I look forward to seeing more videos as you progress.

Hello Kevin , thanks for checking this, it was nice to read there’s someone on the same path! I usually post one video per month on my Learning Log, as the pieces are still short and relatively easy insofar…it’s a good way to keep track of my progress. Hope to hear about your journey into classical guitar too

Hello Andrea…I’m afraid it’s me who is always very late :see_no_evil: The reason is I need to stop from the daily activities, take a breath and make space in my mind to enjoy interacting with all of you…I sometimes feel guilty for always being so late but…I enjoy my time here in the Community and don’t want to make fast replies because I can’t find the time, I prefer waiting and allow for the time I need.

Now…I wouldn’t be able to self-assess objectively but I’m very happy with myself and my snail’s pace and I’m enjoying every minute of it…I’m sure that’s what counts!

I’m very happy to read this, we all have different struggles and I like to share them as well because I also have some small victory to share…the Internet is full with videos of accomplished musicians playing great stuff, here JGCommunity we all have the opportunity to show the process and any result will look great when you can see how one achieved it. It’s also a professional habit, or distortion, for teachers learning processes are usually more interesting to observe than results who would be almost meaningless without the formers as any learner is a world in him/herself… And a further effort is required to document processes…now…have I convinced you to start your own Learning Log? :innocent::blush::grin:

Thank you, as always :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hello Silvia, I’ve just found your post. Happy - belated - guitarversary :clap::guitar::bouquet:!!

These are two very pleasing tunes. And I totally agree with Nicole @JokuMuu that it is easy to imagine, you being playing at a medieval festivity :star_struck:.

I also appreciated reading the background story, finally finding the way to your real passion. Taking the time to figure out what really delights you, is so worth it .

I wish you many more CG anniversaries and lots of fun along your guitar journey :grinning:.

Hello Benjamin and welcome to the Community! I’m following the method from the thisisclassicalguitar.com site, from where one can find many resources, both free and paid and most of all an otlined path to follow, which really helps. Are you starting with lessons or as a self-taught? Do you play the acoustic guitar already? There’s a “Introduce your self” session that you can use to tell us a bit more about yourself! I’m happy you enjoyed my playing…ohi…almost one year ago!
