Neck Crack or Finish?

Wow, thanks so much for reply, and all the great information and suggestions!! When I first bought the guitar I thought for sure it was a fake, but after some research, I’m pretty confident it’s a legitimate older Epiphone. I’m not afraid to attempt the repair myself. Especially after all the great information you gave me. My biggest concern is how good I can make the finish look.
Thanks again!!

If you can follow @Ontime’s suggestions and the crack cures, I wouldn’t worry about the finish look. Have you looked at other older guitars? People will spend a fortune to get a “aged” look. They have character. :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: You’re the only one who’ll see the neck.

@Billc10 Hi mate, if there is a similar line on the other side, I am almost certain it will be a crack. Get it checked out, it will only get worse, or even better, take Jason’s advice, it’s not difficult, cheers HEC

Agree. I’m going to get right on glueing it before it gets any worse and not be too concerned about how it looks when done. The most important things is that it doesn’t get any worse. Thanks everyone for all the help!!
