Hey all.
Been off the forum after BLIM II, itās cool that Justinās do V now.
After BLIM i sort of found my way back to acoustic and was very disapointed with the beginner guitar. After (too much) research and really nailing the tone I was looking for I am going with the Furch.
I also bought and sold some second hand gear to finance it!
Got a good deal on a second hand from Guitar Center, keeping my fingers crossed!
Anyone have any history with this model?
This platform rocks.
The DW just doesnāt get it, but NGD feels like a new birthday.
Hey we have a member who is super into those guitars. I think he has two of them. I know for sure he has one @Carreta
He has done a few threads about them. He may have⦠well hopefully he will pop in amd he can tell the story or you can look at his post history and find his threads.
Here is a link to one of them with some video.
Great guitars from what I understand.

Hey there!
@Ontime thanks for tagging. ![]()
@Drew45 Hey Andrew, congratulations on your choice!
I am pretty sure you will be satisfied with this guitar. As it comes to ācolourā grade system you are here (check the chart bellow). Every other grade just adds something with finish, grade of wood, combo of wood or decorations - by that I mean it does not matter that much which one you buy, it really depends on your preference.
Every guitar goes through their own āvoicingā process for the top and for higher models also for the back, but with their unique process they achieve high quality of great sounding guitars. Everything is SOLID wood. There is much much less chance to pick two Furch guitars and one will sound really bad and one really good like other brands, wont name them, but you wont have to go that far.
As for quick info - I am from Czechia and Furch is Czech product, so I support it and I am proud of that, but it is not about the country only, their guitars are just lovely. It is not that huge company around 80 people making 10 000 guitars per year combining luthiers and some robots.
To your model - I tried it in the store and I was really satisfied with that. Furch is really great with the neck finish and neck feel, you will āseeā after you hold your first chord and will make a change. I wonder if your model is from last 2 years? If so, you will have mechanics called CNR Active which is small wood block compensating through humidity change and it keeps action in the same level. With this you can also make your own action on 12th fret, so you can be luthier to yourself. If you dont have this, it is OK. It is not necessary, but if you have latest version, they are putting it into every model. ![]()
I still consider myself as advanced begginer after 3 years, but feel free to ask me anything about Furch or check out topics on this platform - or straight forward to my YouTube channel, where I have lot of videos with Furch Pioneer and some samples are dedicated across bigger models too!
You will love your guitar. ![]()
Furch Pioneer Blues - YouTube - You might like this one, because its blues fingerstyle. ![]()
Hi, Furch make fabulous guitars. Like you I was in the market for a new electro acoustic last year. Richardās Guitars at Stratford Upon Avon (UK) were excellent to deal with. Long story short, they helped me to whittle down the choice, no pressure, no hard sell, just really practical help. The final choice was between an Auden and a Furch. It was really close but in the end I went for the Auden Austin but the Furch was beautiful. I could not have chosen this online. Thereās no substitute for sitting with a guitar on your lap and playing it before buying. Both Auden and Furch are little known and deserve far more attention. I hope you love the guitar.
Thanks for the tag @Ontime !
@Carreta - I became a pro at their grading system during my research, it seems confusing but really simple when you get it - defenitly easier than transposing chords.
I donāt know if it has the newer CNR neck, defenitly will check it out.
I love the boutique style and the attention to instrument.
What do you have?
@MartinCS - I saw a bunch of Richard guitar videos, he is an ravid fan of Furch. He has a great one where he goes head to head with a Furch OM vs Taylor AD with the exact same specs - and the Furch killed it.
Every head to head against a Taylor was a tonal bloodbath to my ears.
Really looking forward to getting it!
