NGD-Legator Ghost (with videos)

 wow Rogier…that is really beautiful! I love both the colour and the shape! I’m very happy to read you had a blast at the shop! Now I can’t wait for your next video playing it!

Just a quick question, does that guitar have a tremolo? I have a Floyd Rose that has a tremolo. Either way, that is a really nice guitar! I do like the color! You should post a video of you playing with it!

Good morning on this side of the earth  …good evening if you are hanging upside down :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Hi Ian @Prof_Thunder

Thank you :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: and that is nice to read :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

Hi Jason @Ontime
Thank you :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

me too :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:,Unfortunately I will have to order new strings … yesterday I tried to tune them again at the end of the day, but I can’t tighten them any further because the guitar sales man put the strings on incorrectly :persevering_face:and this weekend I put on my last set of strings on an old guitar that I never actually play, but just in case someone comes by and spontaneously wanted to play on it, which has never happened with that one :upside_down_face:… so I opened an empty big box yesterday … that is sometimes a disadvantage if you have a lot of stock sometimes …
and uses a messy drawer next to you

Tod @CATMAN62 … :face_with_raised_eyebrow: and James @Socio :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I get a dejavu with that black one where Gordon @sairfingers said something like "nice guitar, wonder what this will look like when they send the rest of the parts … :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks you guys :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Hi Toby @TheMadman_tobyjenner

Thank you very much :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

:see_no_evil_monkey:

Hi Silvia @Silvia80
Thank you :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

And I must say that I really like the fact that with every change of daylight the color changes… in the evening artificial light it becomes super dark… and more and more dark purple becomes a little clearer when daylight comes and the max when the sun shines on it… but more beautiful without direct sunlight…

Hi Hans @Justh33
Thank you ( and also for all that reading you did earlier… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:you deserve a star for that… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: of course you could have learned 20 songs in that time )

no, luckily not, well at least, that gets in my way and I haven’t learned to deal with it (yet), my fender player has one…someday a project for later, but I still have to practice a lot with my regular blues bends :grimacing:

I feel so sorry for you, if you want to talk about it further, we are here for you …

I remember that in the first year here I heard Justin say "I don’t do a tutorial with the Floyd Rose because that is ā€˜a pain in the butt’ " :see_no_evil_monkey:

Since then I have clicked every guitar with such a system … I find it all difficult … I am trying to elevate the KISS to an art… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
I’m just not very good at bridging heights :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: ,but I learning this slowly …very slow

:waving_hand: :guitar:

EDIT:

A senior moment ( can of course also be a beginners moment…you can be the judgeof that … ) luckily it occurred to me…

for now I just tuned the strings down 1 tone…duh … now I have room to tighten the new strings when they go flat again :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Just while playing I felt some very sharp metal things when I put my hand on the bridge adjustment screws (high, low) so I’m going to buy a good, very small file…

Just while playing I felt some very sharp metal things when I put my hand on the bridge adjustment screws (high, low) so I’m going to buy a good, very small file…

Funny, I buy 4 guitars online…all perfect… finally I go to the store to buy one , there are several things that need to be adjusted because they are not made properly…

Still very happy

Very disappointing Rogier. If physical stores want to compete against the online competition they really need to up their game and try harder. You also mentioned that your store was holding less stock than in the past. Another sign of a downward spiral.

We’re told to ā€œsupport your local storeā€ and ā€œuse it or lose itā€. Of course a store has all sorts expenses in terms of staff wages, the cost of a physical building, gas, electricity etc.
The one area they can/should excel at is offering an exemplary service to customers. In your case I think you’ve been let down.

Yes Gordon It’s a bit of a pity …but I’m glad it happened to me…
I still have a good guitar and am currently in the fortunate position that I can say that I have saved a few K on a guitar that I was actually looking for
Next time I will look at an expensive car … then decide not to buy it and take home 2 top class guitars from a large store with the money saved of not buy that car

I also see it as a good experience and now I really know what to pay attention to…uh, sitting behind the computer and not with all the hustle and bustle in a store and all that…Next time bring a note because of course things always turn out completely differently than I can plan :see_no_evil_monkey:

That is the understatement of the year :scream:

100 % … and to be honest, my first experience 35 years ago was much worse … currently there is an amplifier 2.5 meters behind me that a boss sold me at the time … I had never tuned a guitar in my life … it is a Fender M-80 300w … Oh oh my poor parents … and the neighbors and the neighbors next door and the neighbors across the street and … okay, you get the idea … and even more stuff was sold to me unnecessarily…

In the store on Saturday more was sold to young people and I heard all the information from one of them from arrival to departure… I think that poor girl has almost no fair chance… hopefully the Google beast will do its job and she will get out of here… and that was not the only thing, but I don’t want to complain any further…I am a happy person and with some minor adjustments I will soon be able to play it again…

I also had a bad experience with Bax-shop (they had physical stores but went bankrupt, but a restart so online and I don’t know the rest) … I called another store more than a year ago to ask if they wanted to weigh 3 or 4 guitars, then the employee said that I should come by … (1 hour’s drive) even when the situation was explained … but he really couldn’t coop with that … same story with ā€˜de Gooise guitars’ in Hilversum …

So I don’t really believe …for me in… the 'support the lokal 'guitar store is beter … otherwise…and a store where you can try a lot is of course a completely different story and and and
And yet I will definitely go to a few more

nowadays with that great Thomann…dijkmans music and ??? another one …so it will be fine

I see you pushed a button… :laughing:Once again, I’m very happy :joy:

Greetings and I hope you had a nice had a birth memory day

Ps : maybe those Dutch shopkeepers are just BEEEp  …no …not all :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Pps: Just for the sake of completeness…the 2 people in the store were super nice and very helpful to all my questions and took whatever I pointed out from the racks and quickly went to the scales or walked down to the safe… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Congratulations on your latest addition, Rogier. I’m very happy for you!

Hi Franz, @franzek :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:
How nice to see you here… yes yes I did the ā€˜tagg’ thingy  but still :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: and really not just only to have a tea/coffee and food address on the way to paradise… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thank you and I still think about you quite often you sweet man… I hope that life smiles at you again every now and then… :yellow_heart:

Warm greetings from a snowy (again ) Holland

Sorry for the disappointment of all you pressuring/pushing people who want sred videos of my…just a little patience… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

probably that will happen in about eight to ten years :joy:

When I say ā€œharderā€ at the end…I mean louder…

No problems with sharp screws on the bridge with this music … palm muting / blues is possible again from the weekend with this guitar …
It’s striking how much brighter these pickups are compared to the Ibanez…

I will soon record a riff with distortion … but as often mentioned on the forum … the sound differs between guitars recorded in this way will not really differ or give a clear picture … amps and pedals or certainly everyone who does it via the computer makes the biggest beautiful sound difference…That’s another beast I’ll have to tame someday

…

That ā€˜there is no sunshine’ is one that I am slowly… very slowly, going to mine… inspired by John Mayer… someday

Greetings :guitar: :sun:

or @DavidP ( thanks David ) Can one of you add ā€˜with video’ in the title please? thank you if…!! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Just one more, now it’s done

lesson is from Carl of 365 songs

It’s so nice to see and hear you! The last one had really fast notes, I couldn’t do that!

Yes, listening to you and seeing the humbuckers, I thought they maybe have a coil split that was switched on, but from the description it doesn’t seem so.
Pretty bright. Did you try the neck pickup too?

Dominique @domi7 , :head_shaking_horizontally: what do I say now :head_shaking_horizontally:

Well :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:Thank you very much :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: …but Now you force me to confess…I only looked at a few things in the specifications once after purchasing…

I really have no idea where what is…although the slider towards my stomach/slantingly upwards is probably the neck pick-up alone and downwards the bridge…there is also a ā€˜pull off’ pull-out tone button on it…I don’t really care about it that much mostly , usually only 2 positions … more destortion in …less destortion in :grimacing: with that black ibanez …and then just play with the volume regularly…max almost max or a little further less…
I find the tone knobs on all my guitars to be strange things… I stay away from them and they are always fully open or the sound is very dull (if I describe it that well)

Feeling a bit stupid now :grimacing: or actually more lazy……

Thank you David @DavidP good solution :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

Greetings and have a peaceful evening guys … :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
