Hello and welcome to you both.
Grab a doggie blanket and bed, a squeaky too if you want, and make yourselves at home.

70 year old from San Antonio. Been playing for about 2 months now. Discovered Jusinguitar after about a week and a half. Tried another but was jusr one chord after another that I wasn’t really learning. I am starting module 5 of level one. Very slow. I can fake it through about a half a dozen songs but not really playing them well yet. Not been able to play the last 3 days or so due to trauma in my index finger from strumming. Anyone else getvthat?
Welcome, Greg!
Man, it’s hard to remember 3 years ago, lol, I even checked my Learning Log and didn’t find anything early in my cough career, but I do remember at one point getting tendonitis in my strumming elbow.
Are you using a pick? I can imagine that problem happening to me if I wasn’t using one. If you are using a pick, maybe you’re just holding onto it with a death grip?

Thanks for all the welcome messages. Yes I am using a pic.it is tge vibration from strumming thatvis making my finger numb, especially under the fingernail. I am in lesson 1 module 5 learning Eleanor Rigby. It is one of the easier ones I have been trying to learn. I about have the chord progessions down.
Hi! I am new here and started teaching myself again about 3 months ago and am loving the progress I am making. There is no giving up this time around.

Hello Community,
Been playing off and on for many years, and hope to improve as I’ve picked up my practice over the last few months!
Hi Tom
welcome to the guitar community
Cheers Withold
I’ve not attempted to read much of this thread, given it’s rather spectacular size. But I thought this video of a gentleman explaining how he was able to apply neuroplasticity techniques to address his 60+ years of stuttering might be some inspiration. Old dogs definitely can learn new tricks, although some dedication to the goal might be required.
