This was absolutely amazing! Thank you Jason for starting this wonderful thing. Thank you Adi for giving us the Zoom without time limits. Thank you David for organising. Thanks to all of you. A bunch of great musicians on this forum and with every event, there’s a few more new faces showing up! Keep rockin’ and see you around the forum 8)!
brianlarsen:
Well done, everybody. Another evening of fine performances.
Well chuffed Richard Thank you, that was great. Haha, I had trouble timing that spoken word over your pre-recorded track- You nearly made it ALL the way!
Has Toby inadvertently shown us a glimpse of the future?
All right now …
adi_mrok:

Richard_close2u:
A huge thanks and well done to everyone for gathering and making another memorable night.
@glpguitar - Thank you Luka for inviting Kaja along - what a great.
@brianlarsen - Thank you Brian for inviting Chris along - another treat.
@ToshS and @pikeamus Terrific debuts
@brianlarsen again
It had to be done Brian, it simply had to be done. I was very conscious of my musical track being all computer generated. Following Paraic’s campfire song discussion I looked at that song and thought - yup I can do a full acoustic version. I also wanted you to see how it can work on one guitar.
Man, that spoken bit - so hard to get right. I’m sure I missed out the line about dystopian queens. I wanted to keep the rhythm going even if it was at the expense of the full lyric. I think I just about managed it.

Hi folks a bit late to the party but I was exhausted by the end of the show. But what a show.
First off huge apologies for leaving my mic on an invading space I should not have been in. I hope not, it was a one off and won’t be repeated. Secondly a huge thanks to David, Jason and Adrian for their efforts before and during the show. Organisation pre show was excellant and kept things ticking along nicely. And the show hosting was fantastic as usual. Last a HUGE thank to all the performers, what a fantastic standard, the best OM yet. From debutants to “seasoned professionals” everyone did a superb job and turned out performances of a very high standard. And thank you to our audience for making the event complete. Well done everyone for making it a successful evening.
Looking forward to the recording. Have a great day folks and thanks once more.
Cheers Toby 8)

I think it is wonderful that non-participants still feel willing, able, happy and inspired to view an entire OM show. Being there and being immersed within it is one thing and of course performers, and hopefully audience alike, will re-watch.
But for people who are viewing it just for interest, fun, enjoyment, learning is truly something else. Kudos and vibes to all of you who do this.
TheMadman_tobyjenner:
Could not agree more Richard and I would like to thank them all for their comments.
It was great that we not only had new performers this time but also new audience members as well. The fact folks are watching the “re-run” is hugely encouraging for someone who participated and I hope this spurs forum members to sign up for Open Mic Five, when its announced, either to have their 10 minutes of fame or just to enjoy the show as it unravels !
Thank you all. Cheers Toby 8)

What a wonderful entertaining evening - from the start (David) to the end (Adrian) this was a really nice concert. Some unfamiliar songs with great lyrics I had to google The Rambler (Toby) and Ukulele Anthem (Brian), a couple of incredibly excellent original songs from Richard/Brian and Rossco01, brilliant debuts from Mike and Tosh, and lovely renditions of some classic songs from Mari (Only You) and Richard (The Whole of the Moon). Loved it when Brian said he wasn’t going to do too long a banter and then managed to talk and talk. Just a very enjoyable couple of hours all round - well done all - very nice live event.
TheMadman_tobyjenner:
Just wanted to add my thanks to all of you who have watched the show, after it was posted. Thank you for the wonderful and encouraging comments. I guess for those of us who have done 4 Open Mics and maybe Justin’s LiveStream, we all look like seasoned professionals but I can assure you, there is a whole lot of chaos going on under the surface.
However, don’t let that put you off dipping your toe in the water, regardless of your level. It really is a great experience and in my opinion a showcase for Justin’s teaching methods and courses but also the value of this fantastically supportive community.
Thank you for watching! Cheers Toby 8)
