I am so glad you liked it! I decided that I wanted to do this song the day after the last OM ended and I am really happy with how it all came together in the end. I have not been hugely active in the AVOYP area, but every once in a while I get the idea to post something 
I am definitely more introverted IRL, but I love being “on stage” and I am really trying to work on not only the guitar, but overall stage presence. Glad it’s working!

Hi Toby many thanks for putting your overview together, how wonderful you put in your words of appreciation for all the performers. There is so much to learn from all of these performances but also @liaty and @TheMadman_tobyjenner review posts, such a deep appreciation for each others work. So sad I missed this? Is there a way to have certain community threads automatically go to your email? I feel like I miss a lot of open mics because I just don’t look every day. Can’t wait to give it a listen

Thanks Mari, a request prompted this song choice so I went looking and found a lesson by Marty Schwartz for this one
But I’ve come across lessons in Justin’s blues modules in my learning travels -
The main takeaway is practice hitting the note (like with bends) and muting the strings behind the slide.

If you go to Community Open Mic category and then to Coming Events you can switch over notifications from Normal to Watching, that way every new post should be getting to your mailbox, although not sure if only a new post or also every new reply. One to play around with

Cheers Toby and you never get rid of the nerves…I can nail that little solo every time when I’m not in front of the camera…and as expected flubbed a bit of it on Sat night…no problems though it’s a tiny part of the song overall.

Thanks for that info Dave. I’ve watched the first bit of Justin’s lesson, although not with my guitar in hand, so will be checking them both out now. The song you played was lovely on slide, that might be a good starting point for something I could mangle!
