Open Mic 27 : Recording & After-Show Chat

Good technical stuff for all to have in mind for next performance. Good show. The objective of getting some antipodeans on board was achieved. I think it may had caught off guard some other posible performers from those time zones because the likelihood of this happening had felt them thinking that they didn’t have to worry about if performing on an OM was an option and they didn’t go through enough cycles of to do it or not to do it. Now that having once in a while OMs set for a starting time that favours other time zones it’s a possibility and if the OM team think it’s wise to do it again next year, I think that without compromising on a date it can somewhat be hinted that is coming again sometime in 2025.

Ron @RonG, don’t lose any peace of mind about any sound issues (I’ve done so). It sounded very good to me. As we’re fellow students some healthy criticism is a way of helping each other to improve.

To the antipodeans and the antipodeans of the antipodeans who are considering participating for first time in an OM you only need to play the best you can at your current level, whichever it is. Your effort will be truly enjoyed and appreciated. The having posted an AVOYP requisite I consider it mostly a way to help to have a more pleasant experience with the OM participation as it’s a step up, passing from doing whatever takes are needed to get a good one, to trying to do it in one take with a live audience (you can still stop and restart if you need to).

Hi @DavidP if you are thinking of running some such tests, I’m happy to be one of the test dummies and carry out some configuration tests, it would help my overanalytical mind rest prior to any future OMs  :face_with_spiral_eyes:

@Richard_close2u Hi, is there any reason this recording is Unlisted on the YT? I was just checking the videos on the channel and couldn’t find this one…

Thanks for the alert Alexey - it is now public.
