I wanted to wait until I had watched the entire recording until commenting.
What a fabulous show.
It completely blows me away that we can fill an entire OM bill with first timers. Just utterly brilliant. And what a range of approaches, playing to backing tracks, solo guitar pieces, singing and playing etc.
My twin hopes are that the performers come back for more and that we have even more first timers stepping in soon. There’s an opportunity with Open Mic 33 coming soon.

I love rock ‘n’ roll - holy smoke dude, you killed it. What an opening act, what a debut, rock on my friend. ![]()
Deborah - @GrumpyMac
It may have been hot & sweaty in your room but you gave out a chill vibe with some cool swinging blues. Bravo. ![]()
Paul - @Pmassart
Great performance Paul. From dark and moody to sweet and melodic, a good contrast in styles. Was that in your workplace? If so, it’s a shame your colleagues weren’t around to enjoy the entertainment! ![]()
David - @DavidSGuitar
You know that I know that you can twang that telecaster with some aplomb. You certainly did it here and an extra bit of bravo for playing with no backing and allowing the music to speak for you. ![]()
Jon - @Jonjdarcy
Great stuff Jon, a strummer and a picker and all performed with a certain panache and an easy vocal style. The first time is the hardest, you’re up on two wheels now so keep on riding easy and come back for more! Whole Of The Moon, one of my faves. ![]()
Mathieu - @math07
Oh man, you gave us loud mosh-pit rock with the look of a happy assassin, smiling as you killed those riifs. Great vibe. Bravo. ![]()
Bruce - @mundeli
We had some big smiles and happy faces but I think you gave the biggest of all. I love how you kept going, gave a little commentary on how you’d lost your place then picked it all back up again and carried on with the song. That was priceless. I also liked your comment that could have been an intro at a guitaraholics anonymous meeting, Hi, I’m Bruce, I’m a guitaraholic, I’ve been learning for 372 days’ haha
Three chords and a good song - you don’t need too much more.
Ashu - @Beatup6String
Bravo for doing the singing and playing thing so soon into your singing career. You overcame evident nerves and did really well on both. Have you gott he taste for it now? ![]()
Sonyal - @GuitarMommaRN07
Started in January inspired by your son? Wow. Are you glad you discovered that you liked guitar? We’re surely glad for you and happy that you shared your passion and music with us. A wonderful debut and a lovely way to close the event. Bravo. ![]()
