What a great song Eddie! Thanks for writing and sharing it! Nice variations in your playing, too, starting with simple groove strums and then adding more colour as you go along. Have you thought about adding a bridge? That could put the cherry on top.

Thank you so much Molly for checking the song out. I hadn’t really thought about a bridge as this was how the song came to me and I usually never revisit songs I have written. Thank you for the feedback and I will definitely give your suggestion some thought.

Like a few others, a bit late to the party. This such a powerful song Eddie. I could envision you on the L watching the man with no shoes, the teenaged mother, etc. The singing, the playing and the message are all wonderful.

Thanks Joe for the listen and the kind words. My songs are usually pretty simple and I write about what I see or feel at the time. I never overthink them and what comes out the in the first take is usually what I stick with. I appreciate you checking this one out.

Hey Eddie,

I just realized after listening to @AlyKat ALYKAT’s cover of your Original, that although I’d listened to this shortly after you posted, I’d never commented. Thoughtful, thought-provoking song - with what seems to be a fairly simple structure conveying a not-so-simple message. I really like this song a lot! Wonderful job playing & singing!!!
