I found a soft spot. . .
Hi Jason. No they didn’t mention tapenade. We did the tour of the olive grove and the press and refining and bottling. We got the full explanation of extra virgin, virgin and ordinary oil. And of course my wife bought several bottles which we now have to bring home in our suitcases! If they break….
My suggestion of we can probably buy the same stuff at home fell on deaf ears. ![]()
Great thread @Richard_N ![]()
Loving all the photos everyone’s sharing here and especially all your astronomy photos
My brother had a telescope when we were kids that I probably used more than him. Astrophotography has always interested me but I never actually got into it (other than a few moon shots I took with a camera only).
In theme of the random nature of the thread yet, I thought I’d contribute some underwater photos of mine since I haven’t seen any in this thread (apologies if I missed anyone’s) from a few years back (pre-COVID) when I was obsessed with scuba diving and underwater photography for a couple of years.
Sea Urchin at Garoh Island, Kuwait
Oh boy.

I dont drive that stuff so no advice.
It does not look too bad. Here is a handful of hardy good luck for you.

I’ve seen them in real life, they’re incredible!
Now that is a day well spent!
The setlist for next Saturday live concert of a local band… we don’t know the band yet, only the electric guitarist who plays in different bands and he is just awesome! It says “A journey in the history of Rock”… can’t wait ![]()

that’s a proper setlist!
Lots of singing along oppurtunities. You are bound to have a great time.

Let’s try this again!! I spent a week in Northumberland a couple of weeks ago and visited a number of castles. In order there is Bamburgh, Lindisfarne (Holy Island), Alnwick and Warkworth
Wow those are true castles. So cool. I always loved the evolution of the castles and the equipment that was used to take them on during their primary periods of use.
That prominant one in the second photo. Is it surrounded by water during high tide? I can’t tell but it looks like it is built within an estuary perhaps. It is obviously costal. I bet that one was a tough nut to crack. I would also not want to be stuck in there for months without fresh water. That is unless there was a river running into the ocean right there, hence my estury question.
That first photo.
god could you imagine trying to breech that no grim task with absolutly no cover. Just imagine the challenges. Facinating. Thanks for sharing Stewart ![]()

Edit. I saw where you named it so I had to look it up.
Lindisfarne and its very unique tidal geography. Wow what an amazing history. Feel free to elaborate, you had the tour. ![]()
