Roger's rock on wheels

After talking with Silvia @Silvia80 and Gordon @sairfingers says something about that
today I practiced the bass line for a few minutes and do a one take video… :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: and I was happy for this moment because fortunately the cat was in participating…and that may distract somewhat from the short video, which could still be improved   (I think that will be a fun project) and only want to show the same chord as in the guitarshop and sounds in a totally different way now .

Greetings :sun:

Hey Roger just been catching up on the last 10 days and boy is it going crazy here! Glad you finally got your in person shop visit and came away with a beauty as I said in that other short posts. I’ll need to do little more Community surfing to find out what is happening on the AI and bot front. Have we been infected or is one of our visitors not human? I go lost in there somewhere. Anyway enjoy that new geetar and keep us entertained. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I think Rogier is just drawing attention to how popular he really is and suggesting this must be ‘bot activity’
Accept it Rogier, and take a bow :bouquet: :face_blowing_a_kiss:

He did get 7k view and rising within 15 minutes of posting an AVoYP as a short on youtube

Picture from this morning, while the children were drawing freely they explained to me how the game works: the robots esplode anytime they see a human being because “they have a bomb instead of a heart…the good news teacher is that you can keep safe by being in creative mode”. I asked what does it mean? And they replied it means you’re not just surviving and that being in “creative mode” will prevent you to be killed

Now…given that I didn’t understand a monkey of what they were talking about I would say that creativity will save us here as well :joy::sweat_smile:

 that’s a proper chord melody! It sounds awesome Rogier! So nice you ended up with this…it’ll be of some use to you for your next trip to the guitar shop

Keep us informed if you’re going to develop it, it would be surely worth it!

Where the heck do I start
:see_no_evil_monkey: :speak_no_evil_monkey:

First… Hi Toby @TheMadman_tobyjenner nice to see you here and thank you :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

 :joy: O my …kids :see_no_evil_monkey: … there is no such thing as coincidence

And thank you too for on the music comment

Now for some people hitting my wheels…
Briiiiian

There will be people who read this and believe it, while I was by far not the most visited on January 30 / 31 … I have looked at 100+ topics from others … also people who have not been active for years when I saw crazy things jump in the ‘vieuws’ on the right of my screen (on the big screen and continued watching)… so this just in case someone misses the ‘wink’ … you know that I suffer from completeness syndrome :roll_eyes:and that is freaking difficult in this other language …So Toby @TheMadman_tobyjenner there are hundreds of topics with extreme outliers on that day or days …to up to 400 ( and not leaving anything behind like a like or comment )… now these were probably searching and not disruptive (I think) and I have now become a bit calmer than when I first saw it… I would feel more uncomfortable if this happened

:scream: James @Socio don`t do that  … .that ‘K’ behind it can be removed … I saw 17 and 18 vieuws per videos … And why I would be shocked ? well several reasons, but the most important is that it creates a lot of ‘noise’ and there are people among them who suddenly try to make contact, etc…

Is this a serious question…??? pssssssst…that first one under your post, that can never be human :alien:

Now a serious question

James or someone else … Is posting such a ‘SHORT’ a personal choice or does YouTube make that choice … because I actually don’t want such a short … I thought it was automatic but I see that I have much shorter regular videos than some “shorts” … in any case I don’t click it as a choice???

I remember that the first time around 150+ people had seen a ‘lick in riff’ video in the first hours and I also asked about it and that it would stop soon or something like that… I think it’s great when 10 ,50 or 300 people watch a video of me playing , people who come here and i know them to a greater or lesser extent (I had to get used to that for a long time and still find some things hard to deal with )…

And when things like there is a short video with 1.3 k views in a short time. you-tube, then I get very restless because that also gives a lot of negative attention… and no, I don’t mean you guys here
Well…Oke maybe some of you

Every time I make a video…or a long personal comment, it’s like I’m completely naked
Geeeez…I should be a comfortable sauna walker by now :see_no_evil_monkey:…nope

Greetings and … Let your children draw sweet kittens Silvia :joy:

It’s a choice but youtube will second guess you when it’s a short video and you have to tell it “no, I don’t want a short, I want a normal video”. So if you don’t want a short just double check each time what format your creating. Either that or just make longer videos :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Thanks James

I’ve never seen that choice, and I don’t fully understand the lochica yet, even though it sounds logical ( In dutch perfectly normal sentence…now I just hope it comes across well :see_no_evil_monkey:)

:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Because the video above is a ‘regular’ one and one from the weekend (or one years ago I see now) that is much longer ( well under 2 minutes but I found that long  ) is a ‘short’ :upside_down_face:

But now that I know it is a choice, I will pay attention to it

I already have 8 of them I see… sometime see if that is adaptable…out of sight, out of mind

Hi Silvia,
Thanks for the concerns and good wishes

For anyone who wants to know and for answer the (very sweet) PM`s a little.

It’s going a lot better already ,really a lot  … but it was physically ( and in the head ) really bad

The ankle joint (and the ankle ligament and knee ligaments and small other things ) will take some timeand before all the bruises have completely recovered, but I wasn’t planning on running for a while anyway, so that’s fine, this morning the swelling had reduced enormously and the leg above it even looked quite thin… the rest of the bruises are as good as gone and due to not being able to use the right leg on the ground during transfers at all, it’s great that I can turn around on my left good heel again so that my arms and wrists don’t move any further. getting overloaded… to quickly end this somewhat incomplete story …

came downstairs this morning without help and that makes all the differeent.

Just checked a vital organ…and you know what? my left hand can still play on the fretboard :sweat_smile:and my right hand still strums… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Remove my right armrest again on Monday and then just play again… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Oh yes, if I go out alone from now on, my wife will get this sticker to the back of my head and on my back, just in case my chair moves far away again like it did a while ago…

Greetings

Im really sorry for what happened to you :frowning:
Isnt there a security strap in the chair to avoid such dreadful events ?

I have an arm support on my desk , it supports the weight of the arm ( its an exoskeleton ) and even this thing has a strap :open_mouth:

( of course the picture has to be one without strap  )

What did I miss? Oh my, Rogier … did you hit the ground hard somehow?

Thank you so much Deborah @GrumpyMac

Yes, that does indeed exist… and uh well uh …I even have one at home :grimacing:

There are also some disadvantages that are a bit too complicated to fully explain … but a small example is that it can happen that I fall like that with the chair and all, and the injuries are more dangerous …

I’m also just a bit unlucky… my chair is not right for me… my (own) back cushion leaves me with too little seating space… that combined with far too busy behavior when leaving… busy chatting with several people and putting on a very thick winter coat on a super smooth marble floor… a bit too far forward (so a belt would indeed have helped here) and yes, my wife also said the next day “I’ll tie you up with a belt next time”…

Next time I will think of you on the ground, hands to the sky and shouting “I wish I had, I wish I had” :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Greetings :sun:

A hi Richard @Richard_close2u ,
You just posted while I was type… :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

well actually hitting the ground wasn’t hard at all… perhaps my best falling experience… apparently the Italian marble is quite soft…

It was the bending of everything from the middel body and especially those ankles and knees that went completely wrong… I just started foot tapping with small movements in the last few months, which hasn’t been possible for 15 years or so
but expect that to be possible again soon. Maybe things will go much better with this forced stretching :crossed_fingers:

Greetings

Oh I see

one of my neighbours did the same mistake as you
I mean being too far on the edge of the seat
she fell from her couch and broke her femoral neck and fractured her sternum

( she’s 75 )

she has months of physiotherapy ahead of her now

be very careful in the futur
you ve been very lucky that is wasnt more serious

the good news is that you can still play guitar

Without any joke, because this is really super maybe the most important … :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: I expect that on Monday I can remove my armrest and then I can really play the guitar seriously again :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

Thanks for the update Rogier…I’m relieved

Life sometimes does its best to make the glass half empty…but what is actually empty is emptyness itself: objectivity has it the glass is always half full! :wine_glass: :flexed_biceps::flexed_biceps::relieved_face:

Please bring my greetings to Hermine too

Just you he careful, remember what happens to elastic bands when you stretch them.

Hi Silvia @Silvia80 and James @Socio

Thank you and I know strecht this is a bad thing but definitely remember that extra well now  ( the stretching part was a weird way of saying that sometimes something beautiful can come from worst and most painful things … but don’t advise this to anyone  )

the solution for me lies in … I use a very, very small glass :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: that is filled nice and quickly, and then if all goes well and it overflows, I simply add a glass that I can hand out

Forgive my lameness, it’s still early on this Sunday morning here…

Every day I can now enjoy the landscapes of Italy , the best time not to worry about the guitar… although I draw the line at curling.

Greetings :sun:
