Although not guitar related, today I feel a real need to make an entry for my beautiful, angelic Mum, who passed away suddenly yesterday, aged 85. She would have been 86 today, her birthday. My Mum’s name is Dawn Clayworth.
We are all so very heartbroken that she has gone from us. I am so grateful my father and I were able to spend her last few hours with her. So many are denied this privilege. My Dad spent 68 loving years with her.
A truly wonderful mother and person, who lived a full life in a great spirit of kindness and love. Fly high Mum. I’ll play a song for you. May all the love and stars and colours of the universe surround you forever.
Sorry for your loss Shane . I wish you and your loved one strength during this time and wish you happy memories with each other, especially these days…
Shane, I’m sorry for you loss. I hope your mum had a chance to enjoy some of your great guitar playing with a song she might enjoy. If not, play it for her now. Music can help.
Well, its now been 4 years since I joined with Justin, and this great community. Thought I’d notate it here briefly.
Certainly, much has happened in that time, and I’m very grateful for the advice, mentorship, support, friendship, and encouragement of many here. There are truly some exceptional human beings here.
And some of my friendships in this community are certainly among my most treasured.
The past year has seen some solid progress in relation to my goals, in terms of technique, practical knowledge, and playing; particularly in the Blues genre, where alot of my focus has been.
I feel I have a good handle on my weaknesses, and am methodically trying to address them; starting to feel now that I have a solid foundational platform to build on in coming years.
Justin promised this at the start; follow the tuition program diligently, and trust JGs advice. Well, Justin has thus far delivered on that promise in spades.
Blues is my ‘thing’, and I’m looking very forward to the upcoming BLIM course starting in a couple of days; all made possible by the extraordinary generosity and goodwill of a JG member here. Thank you again my friend. I will never forget it.
Again, thank you all for being here. It has become a second home for me these last 4 years.
