Is it ok to use the second finger to play this or should i try to use the first like Justin does in the vid.

I think he chose one finger because of its simplicity, as the focus is the timing and accuracy. You can choose any finger, or multiple.

That riff is harder than it looks! I struggled with it but I’m getting there.

Yeah, moving your hand up and down the fretboard quickly and cleanly is definitely harder than it looks. The good news is, practicing this slow enough to do it clean, then slowly increasing the speed, will get you there eventually.

One “trick” that helped me was to make sure that my eyes are staring at where I want my finger to stop, not where it currently is. If your eyes are following your finger, you will almost certainly overshoot your target. When you look where you want your finger to stop, it is sooooo much easier to achieve.

Hey! Thanks for the lesson! I found it much easier to use 4th finger for 7-10 fret and 3-5 frets. I don’t know how it was played originally but it feels the right way :smiley:
