Wow Greg that is such a brilliant photo man its priceless man what a memory man I love it thanks man
Late to the party as usual! These took some tracking down, they were taken when I was 36 or 37 in 1998 by a friend I’ve known since university on one of her rare visits from the USA. Luckily she’d scanned the prints, still had them on her backup hard drive, and was able to send them to me.
The guitar is the second one I ever owned and my first acoustic, which I picked up for £40 in a second hand shop. I ended up, 10 or 15 years later, giving it away to my grandson, who took it into school for lessons, but the neck “got broken” (never did get to the bottom of that). His mum, my stepdaughter paid to have it repaired without telling me, but when the same thing happened again it was too far gone. I didn’t mind, because giving the guitar to him had given me the excuse to get a better one, my Tanglewood Nashville IV

Aye, Hec, it brings back fond memories of being that thin. It seems every decade brings another size up in trousers!
