Two more great covers, I don’t think the solo was messy and I enjoyed the listen, thanks for sharing more of your songbook.
Another belter JK. Great song and a great cover
Very solid JK! Nice work on the solo too
Ah yes, John Peel’s perfect pop song from the lads in Norn Iron
Feargal Sharkey went on to look for a ‘good heart’ but settled for being spokesman of British waterways.
The two guitarists in the band were the O’Neill brothers (John & Damian). They went on to form That Petrol Emotion who played a lot of college circuit gigs back in the late 80s. I loved ‘em, but don’t think they stood the test of time that well.
Nice barre chord workout. No nits with the solo
That was really good Jk! You did a great job…you looked very relaxed and perfectly at your ease too, also in the solo, which you say messy, but as I don’t know the song it was perfectly right just the way it was! Thanks for sharing your progress!
That was excellent, JK, you looked very comfortable. The rhythm was great, smooth chord changes and I liked slight slides at times. I prefer the tone as well comparing to Song 2, it was spot on for me.
Rocking JK, yeah. Great rhythm stuff going on here with very nice tone. Solid!
Thanks for the listen and comment @mathsjunky
You know so much about these guys… maybe they’ve done a house gig at your place?
In truth I hadn’t heard Teenage Kicks before listening to it for learning it in the rock songbook! But it’s a fun song.
Thank you Silvia. Funny how sometimes something feels good, but it turns out to be not right, and other times something feels messy but ends up sounding OK. Thanks for checking it out.
Thanks Boris, yep I’ve practiced these ones for a long time now so they are pretty comfortable!
Thanks Dave! I’m definitely a rhythm guy more than a lead guy
You got some super impressive guitar work there @jkahn !! I thought you had great tone as it sounded very organic! Your progress has been very impressive. Keep rocking
Great job @jkahn on the new Teenage Kicks cover. It looks like a great barre chords workout. Cool solo !
Great piece of rockin’ JK! How do you learn so many songs so quickly?
Well then JK,
This is one I never hear and I may have heard of the band. But I should have as it rocks! Your play is great and the tone is very inviting. I really enjoyed this one and you had the old toe a tapping on this end!
keep up the good vibes!
