Pretty basic.
I prefer mobile phone vox recording to my usb mic. Import mp3 file to Reaper, adding some reverb or panning (esp to any backing vocals)
I usually receive drum, bass and guitar contributions as mp3s from some audio interface.
Violin/mandolin/other also via phone mics.
I presume most of the goodies would lie in learning to use equalisers/hi/lo-cut etc and compression, and it will happen, but life is short

Don’t know how this passed by me at the time but it’s exceptional in every facet. Haven’t heard the original and don’t want to.
