Sounds about right to me Richard but Dust is gathering dust for a while I BLIM. Only up to about 75% tempo but a year ago even that was a dream. Great song choice for pushing the fingerstyle. Too much on with BLIM and family here !

Really cool club. BLIM is fun, but I like to take a break and try new fingerstyle songs with my acoustic. I’m looking forward to learning a new fingerstyle song in the next club ![]()
Thanks Mathieu.
I think a departure from fingerstyle for several clubs now … and I don’t really intend vintage club to become a song lesson session. I appreciate your comment. ![]()
Ok, thanks for sharing your plans. Well, at least this club lesson gave me confidence to try learning popular fingerstyle songs. ![]()
Prior to that, I started a proper fingerstyle course from Joe Robinson, but I was getting pretty bored as there are a lot of exercices/steps to do before learning full popular songs. And this club was the total opposite, it was about learning a popular song right away so I enjoyed it much more.
I’ll continue with Blackbird and other song tutorials from Justin and GuitarZero2Hero ![]()
I just finished watching the recording of this and just wanted to add my thanks for this lesson. I’ve been working on learning this song for a few months and wish I had seen it sooner. I’ve watched a couple videos on this song, but this one is without a doubt the most detailed and easiest to follow lesson I’ve seen. Excellent job!
Wow.
That is fulsome praise and quite a recommendation.
Thank you.

Richard, I just finished the second viewing of this lesson and wanted to thank you for helping to make me an honest guitarist. I have said in the past that I had learned to play Dust in the Wind, but I was just a cliche, the guitarist that learns the intro and 1st verse of a song and thinks they know the song. With your clear and expert description of the song I can now attempt to actually play the entire song. The bridge or interlude section with the higher position chord fragments was a fun learning session. Also I learned to go from Am to D/F# chord using the ring finger as a guide and my pinkie. I now find that way to be easier to play and faster to make the chord change than with the 1, 2 and 3 fingers.
Hi Fanny, I noticed that the “Clubs Archive” link you provided is broken for Vintage Club #17, but I did find that the link provided by Richard further down is working.
Tagging @FannyJustinGuitar to make sure she sees this ![]()
Hey Steve,
The archive has been updated and is now accessible through each Club’s individual page under Past Events.

Just made an announcement about it here: Announcement ![]()
@FannyJustinGuitar Fanny, thanks so very much for the information. I was having trouble finding the video lesson. Will links to the resources be added at some time in the future?
I will go through the full archive and ensure all resources are available somewhere.
